Brussel Kale: The Superfood Of The Future?

Brussels Kales, is the new superfood of the future that’s catching all rage in the US market. It is a new hybrid of Brussels sprout and kale and would soon make its supermarket debut during the fall.

The crop is bred by Tozer Seeds and the company claims that the taste of the new super food would be more subtle as it would be a fusion of sweet and nutty taste.

Not genetically modified?

The vegetable is made by cross pollinating two vegetables and it was not genetically modified as both are from the cabbage family. It is also marketed under the name “Kalette”. This new super food is touted in USA as the superfood we’ve been waiting for.”

I have very mixed feelings about this. I have come to love Brussels sprouts, but kale and all its religious supporters can leave and never come back as far as I’m concerned. I also remember the time my mom bought grapples—a cross between a grape and an apple—and I wasn’t very impressed.

USA Today touts the BrusselKale as “the superfood we’ve been waiting for.” Although, I’m not sure who exactly they’re referring to. Were you waiting for this?
